The Police are a Forgetting Machine. Their reputation records are only as good as the evidence selected to support them and all other records must be purged regularly so it looks routine and not criminal. Police contacts are Intelligence Missions. The police are throwing a dozen implicit questions at you behind that seemingly random statement musing about your agenda today. You don’t owe them an explanation, they work for your government. What they are hoping is that what you say differs slightly from what they think they already know. That would be you LYING to them, so Probable Cause. Does your government own slaves, are you one of those? Well, guess again. They use Drug Teams as Rescue and Surveillance Teams. Jim Crow Two is a System. ANSWER NOTHING.
Hanging out in public? Supposedly protected. Wanna keep your squad a secret for some reason? (maintaining surprise about that show / proposal / flashmob) is enough to get you tagged for follow up with Department of Licensing so they can see a photo of what you look like and who else might live at your listed address. Sorry, your limits are the imagination of a Suburban Rule Smoker’s idea of what “looks Suspicious.”
